This small, interesting, film which is generally considered the first film noir, is the story of the story of a reporter’s search for a murderer. Ward, was the star witness in a murder trial that convicted Briggs but he begins to doubt his own testimony.
Film commences at 11am at the Palais Royale Hotel, 230 Katoomba St, Katoomba, a classic 1920s art-deco style hotel.
Entry to this film is by membership of Katoomba Film Society, which is $30 for 20 films per year.
Matinees are on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of month at 11am.
